Senior Consultant Police Commissioner, City Manager (ret.)
Mr. Ronald J. Walsh is a seasoned public-sector executive and nationally respected law-enforcement leader with more than 30 years of experience across multiple public-safety agencies and municipal leadership roles. His career includes senior executive service in one of the nation’s largest police departments — the Nassau County Police Department, with over 4,000 personnel — as well as leadership service in the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department, a major agency with more than 1,200 sworn and civilian members. Ron was subsequently appointed Police Commissioner for Long Beach, NY, where he implemented the City’s Police Reform and Reinvention Plan, strengthened transparency and accountability, expanded community partnerships, and advanced modern policing strategies including modernizing police policy, improved the use of technologies, and improved training systems. Ron also served as the City Manager, overseeing citywide operations, labor negotiations, and fiscal priorities during a major organizational transition. Ron holds a Master of Public Administration from Marist College, graduated from the FBI National Academy and the PERF Senior Management Institute for Police, and completed executive-level leadership training at both state and national institutions. Known for his collaborative leadership style, community trust building, and unquestioned integrity, Ron demonstrated the ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Ron’s focus is conducting nationwide public-safety executive recruitments, and leadership development.
